Heber Valley Ballet is a nonprofit committed to developing young dancers through exceptional training and performance opportunities, while enriching the arts in the Heber Valley community.

Benefits & Opportunities for Company Members
Additional performance opportunities, including consideration for principal and solo roles in story ballets such as The Nutcracker (presented as a full-stage production starting this year) and our spring production
Rehearsals outside of regular class time that build discipline, consistency, and professional work habits
Performances at community events and a repertory show in late winter
In-house adjudication in connection with the repertory show
A goal-setting program, including regular one-on-one meetings with directors
Optional ensemble participation in ballet competitions
Exposure to a wider range of repertoire, including contemporary ballet

Time Commitment
Main Company
9.25 hours of ballet training per week
2 hours of contemporary training
4–6 hours of rehearsal
Rehearsal Schedule:
Tuesdays (ending by 8:30 PM)
Fridays (ending by 6:00 PM)
Occasional Saturday morning rehearsals (approximately once per month)

Heber Valley Ballet 2
7.75 hours of ballet training per week
2 hours of contemporary training
3–4 hours of rehearsal
Rehearsal Schedule:
Tuesdays (ending by 8:00 PM)
Fridays (ending by 5:30 PM)
Occasional Saturday morning rehearsals (approximately once per month)

Expectations
Dancers are expected to maintain at least 90% attendance in all classes
Dancers must attend all assigned rehearsals
Any missed rehearsal must be approved in advance by company directors

Program Costs
To meet HVB’s goals for high-caliber training and performance opportunities, certain costs are required:
Productions: venue rental, backdrops, scenery, costumes, choreography, props, guest artists, publicity
Rehearsal time: studio space and rehearsal directors
Additional costs: occasional master classes and adjudicators

Contemporary Tuition: $110/month (The Block)
Rehearsal Fee: $100/month (supports the nonprofit)

Monthly costs apply to a 9-month season (September through May)
A 5% discount is available when paying in full
The annual company fee may be split over 9 months
No additional costs are required to be a company member
Studio registration fees are waived
We are currently working to establish a scholarship fund as part of the nonprofit.
